Kathmandu Durbar Square : It is an ancient artistic and grand palace built by Malla kings in the medieval period. It lies in the heart of Kathmandu and remains busy most of the time. The art, architecture, craftworks and designs manifested in the pillars, buildings and windows of the palace are magnificent. The palace is surrounding by many small temples which gives it an alluring look.
Swoyambhunath Stupa – It is one of the oldest Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu Valley. It lies on a top of a hill and is a perfect vantage point to see the whole Kathmandu valley. As the stupa has many monkeys, the stupa is also popularly known as the Monkey Temple. You can find the large statues of Buddha, monasteries and gompas and influence of Buddhism in this stupa.
Pashupatinath Temple – it’s the oldest temple of Lord Shiva that holds a high value amongst the Hindu pilgrims. You can find the buildings that are older than the life. Only Hindus are allowed to enter this temple. For others, you can enjoy the surrounding area that consists of crematorium where dead bodies are burnt to ashes. The unique features Sadhus – people who have rubbed their body with ashes and have dread-locked is a unique feature to see here.
Boudhanath Stupa – It is the biggest Buddhist stupa in the world. We can see the monks busy chanting their ritual going around this temple.
After accomplishing our sightseeing tour, we drive towards Nagarkot. On the way, we visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square – It is a palace built during the Malla reign in Nepal. The palace is a beautiful work of art and architecture. The wood carved pillars, eyes windows, statues, designs, everything about the palace is so grand and artistic. It reflects the interest of royal kings in art and grandness. We visit the Nyatapol temple, fifty-five windowed palace, Changunarayan and many other attractions of the durbar square.
After visiting the places of importance, we drive towards Nagarkot. Overnight at a hotel in Nagarkot (Breakfast included).
Early in the morning, we head towards a view tower in Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a popular vantage point and hill station for endeavoring the beauty of towering mountains in the environment. You can enjoy the view of the 360-degree panorama of mountains from the windows of your hotel too. After beholding the beauty of the mountains from Nagarkot, we drive towards Kathmandu via Patan. On the way, we visit Patan Durbar Square which is also amongst the UNESCO listed heritage sites. The art and culture are manifested in the palace in the same way as in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We visit the Bangalamukhi temple, Krishna Mandir and visit the museum inside the pre-booked square. After exploring the durbar square, we return back to Kathmandu to our hotel for overnight stay.
