The name – Ganesh comes from the name of a Hindu deity – Lord Ganesh who is regarded as a god of fortune. As per Hindu mythology, the head of Lord Ganesha was replaced with the head of an elephant when his father – cut off his head in anger unaware of the fact that Lord deer is his son. The peak of Ganesh Himal resembles Ganesha as that of a wild elephant therefore regarded as Ganesh Himal.

Ganesh Himal Trek starts with a drive from capital city of Nepal – Kathmandu to Betrawati. As you proceed with the trek, you pass vibrant villages, azure lakes, waterfalls, and forests in the backdrop of the beautiful Himalayas. As the trail is less unexplored, the region maintains its natural glory intact. You will pass the diverse vegetation area that traverses from farmland, dense forests to the alpine region.

With the diversity in vegetation, you will notice the diversity in floras and faunas as you make your way to the Ganesh Himal. Ganesh Himal region preserves many species of plants, birds, and animals; if lucky you may encounter animals like Himalayan Thar, musk and many unique species of birds.

Accommodation for our valued customers includes room and breakfast in a three star hotel in Kathmandu.

Take in the impressions of Nepal as we drive you from the airport to your hotel. We will assist you with the check-in and provide you with further information regarding your Everest Base Camp Trek. You may then have a rest or stroll through the bustling, colorful streets and alleys of Kathmandu.
