From Pokhara lakeside, we drive to Nayapul and from there, we trek to Tikhedhunga on day 1 of the trek. On the following day, we trek to Ghorepani. On the other day, we will be doing a morning hike to Poon Hill to view sunrise over the Annapurna Range and trek to Tadapani.

This is the main route we follow in the Poon hill trek. Throughout the trek, we don’t exceed more than an altitude of 3000m from sea level. Nepal is a mountainous country, every trek requires climbing up and down the trails. Although, the Poon Hill trek has fairly easy trails which are not too steep to climb.

As you walk along the route, you will be able to enjoy and experience beautiful environments along with breathtaking scenarios of mighty mountains like Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Machhapuchhare, Annapurna II and Lamjung. This trek will take you across the enormous Annapurna Himalaya range’s southern ridges and rolling green slopes. The early morning hike to Poon Hill will provide a spectacular view of the Himalayan peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna with sunrise that will fill your heart with delight. Later on, the trip brings you to Tadapani over a magnificent woodland track.

Being comparatively short treks, expenses in itineraries are less than that of long treks. The majority of itineraries include hotel accommodations in Pokhara as well as transportation from Pokhara to Ghorepani. You will have to pay for your permits.

This trek can be done without guides. However, hiring a guide comes in very reasonable prices. Travelling with a local guide can be a good idea for beginners as it will be easier to communicate with the locals and feel included in the knowledge that the adventure holds.
